Design brief

A long wood island sets the centerline of this Potomac kitchen. Dark pendants follow its length, and the pale worktop projects beyond the wood face. Glazed cabinets around the perimeter introduce a finer pattern of frames and panes. The wood at the island is echoed in taller cabinetry along the side, while the remaining cabinet fronts read lighter across the room. One view looks straight toward the island and cooking wall. The wider angle shows how the kitchen opens to the adjoining space and to daylight at the far end.
