Leesburg Residence

Design brief

Tall taupe cabinetry lines the work area and gives way to open shelves near the range. A warm-toned hood brings a concentrated point of color to the cooking wall, where a pale surround keeps that accent visible across the room. The island runs toward the adjoining space, with seating along its outer edge. The photographs show the cabinetry both head-on and from farther back. From the wider angle, the tall doors, lower shelves and hood have distinct roles within one continuous view of the kitchen.
