Design brief
Wood fronts at the island and along one cabinet run bring a warmer note to this townhouse kitchen. The paler perimeter surfaces keep the work wall bright, while a darker hood gives the range a defined position within it. Seating sits on the near side of the island, facing the cook space. A tall garden-facing door brings light into the end of the room. The photographs show how the wood tone repeats at several heights, from the island base to the upper cabinet doors, without carrying across every surface.
