Design brief
A navy island introduces a darker base within the pale cabinet runs. The white worktop turns down at the end, bringing the lighter surface into the view from the aisle. Along the perimeter, paneled cabinet doors and dark hardware give the wall a smaller rhythm. Window light reaches the worktop on one side, and open shelves offer a break in the run of upper cabinets. The photographs move from a close view along the counter to a wider look at the island, stools and space around them.
