Design brief

Studies in Light and Material is a concept study shown in renderings. The main view explores how a pale island might read against warmer cabinet fronts and glass-front storage. Light under the cabinets brings attention to the work surface and gives the back wall a second layer of illumination. A closer rendering studies the meeting of a strongly veined surface and the wood below it. Together, the views show two scales of the proposal, from the placement of the main kitchen elements to the junction between finishes.
