Design brief
A dark island with seating stands in the middle of a pale kitchen. Its worktop matches the lighter surfaces around the room, while the base and stools form a single darker line beneath it. A tall dark cabinet run introduces a second area of contrast off to one side. Across from the island, stainless appliances sit within the perimeter cabinetry. The photographs show how the island looks from the seating side and from farther back, where the pale floor leaves a broad, visible margin around the work zone.
