The Vaulted Bath

Design brief

A skylight and high windows bring daylight into this vaulted bath. The freestanding tub sits along the window wall, with the vanity across from it and a tall shelving unit between the two areas. Wood drawer fronts and shelf surfaces add warmth beneath the pale walls. The ceiling draws the eye up, while the low tub and long countertop give the room two quieter horizontal lines. The photographs show how daylight reaches the tub from above and spreads across the floor toward the vanity.
