Design brief
A broad picture window lights the sink wall in this pale kitchen. Base cabinetry follows the width of the window, leaving the upper view open to the garden. Across the aisle, a patterned backsplash introduces detail behind the worktop, with lighting below the cabinets bringing it into view. The wood floor carries a warmer tone between the two sides. From farther back, the photographs show the window wall, the cooking area and the tall cabinets as separate points along the same long view through the kitchen.
