Design brief
The kitchen photographs show a gray island set inside runs of dark wood cabinetry. A pale countertop and backsplash separate the upper and lower cabinet fronts, and lighting below the upper cabinets traces the back wall. The dark hood occupies the center of the cooking area. From the second angle, the island edge, adjacent counter and opening to the next space are visible together. The scope also includes a bath. In the kitchen, the main contrast is between large, quiet cabinet faces and the narrow band of lighter surfaces at working height.
