Annandale Residence

Design brief

In this Annandale kitchen, a long island sets the direction of the room. Dark stools line one edge, while the pale top keeps the surface visually continuous from end to end. Pendant lights repeat along its length, picking up the dark accents on the cabinet hardware and seating. The adjacent dining area has red chairs and broad garden-facing windows. The wider view shows how the island and table each have a place in the open room, with the color at the dining chairs marking a shift away from the work area.
