Design brief

A paneled wood island sits at the center of the Old Cedar kitchen. Its vertical detailing gives the long cabinet face a rhythm that remains visible below the pale countertop. Two brass-toned pendants mark the length of the island and leave the cooking wall in view between them. Lighter cabinetry around the perimeter sets the wood finish apart, while the floor carries a related tone around it. The wider photographs show how the island defines the kitchen without closing the view toward the adjoining dining area.
