Potomac River Road

Design brief

Deep green built-ins give the dining room a distinct wall of its own. Open shelves and closed cabinets divide the run into display and concealed storage, with the dining table placed opposite. A wide opening edged in wood keeps the adjoining kitchen in view from the table. Through it, the island and lighter kitchen finishes form a separate composition. The photographs also show a second seating area near a broad window, where the green cabinetry and wood tones help connect the spaces without making them read as a single room.
